My New Puppy - Lexie

So my parents finally gave it and got me a puppy! :] yayyyyy! haha she is the cutest thing ever. She is a yorkie and is now 10 weeks old. She is my little baby. :] The family loves her including the dogs. Lexie thinks she is as big as the other dogs and tries to play with them haha. The first day I got Lexie, Delta and Bella drenched her with their slobber. It was actually quite funny. haha. With all her cuteness set aside, there were some complications that she came with. We got her on Wednesday evening and the lady we bought from told us to feed her IAMS. So thursday morning we started her on IAMS, but she wasnt really eating it. Thursday night Lex had a seizure because of low blood sugar. After her seizure my dad gave her some Puppy Chow and she scarfed it down. So the next day we gave her Puppy Chow and she ate it all day. But at 4 am on Friday morning, Lexie had another seizure. This time we didnt know the cause and her breathing was very wheezy. My parents told me just to watch her to make sure she was okay. No more than 20 minutes later, she had another one. So my mom and I rushed her to the vet to find out that Lexie was in critical condition. We soon found out later that she had swollowed a nail and when she had her 2nd seizure she swollowed the foam which got into her lungs and caused to her get pnemonia. So she was in the oxygen chamber for about 24 hours before we saw improvement in her breathing. She finally was able to breathe on her own, and pooped out the nail with no problem. Her body was also responding well to the medication given to her for the pnemonia. Which was good. We were all relieved and happy to have her back on Monday Morning. I had to go back to san jose monday, so i left Lexie with my mom. My mom says Lexie is learning and its like having another baby in the house. :] hahaha. We all know my mom loves and enjoys it hahaha. She will miss her when I get Lexie again. Lexie goes back to the vet on Monday to see what was causing the seizures. Hopefully the outcome will be good :] Im just glad shes okay and I cant wait to see her again and play with her. :]
