R.I.P Baby

Amy's hamster died. We believe she died from Wet Tail. When we first got her, we thought something was wrong because she wasn't growing and her poop was very runny. When we took her back to the store they told us she was fine and nothing was wrong. So we continued on with our lives. She lived for a little over 2 months. Then one day we came home and she was dead. We found blood in her cage and thought maybe she had cut her self but there was no signs of it.

I did some research and this is what I found:

"These are some symptoms of Wet Tail:
-Wet diarrhea.
-The hamster's appearance will be scruffy, it will lose its appetite, become dehydrated, and reluctant to be handled. Possible rectal bleeding.
-A bacterial illness common to hamsters. Can be fatal.
-Causes can be stress, sudden dietary changes, too confined of an area, extreme temperatures, or unsanitary living conditions.
-Can only be treated by a vet - get to a vet immediately! " http://www.pgaa.com/burrow/general/hamster.html

Unfortunately we didn't know that Baby had Wet Tail so we were unable to take her to the Vet before it was too late. We buried her outside in our flower bed so that should could always be with us. We love and miss Baby very much.
Rest In Peace Babes.
